Campo Arqueológico de Mértola (CAM) is a cultural and scientific association which has as an objective the survey and research of archaeological, ethnographic and artistic values in the region of Mértola and to proceed to its safekeeping. It collaborates with universities in Spain, France, Italy, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. It is, in collaboration with MultiCulti, the national coordinator of the Portuguese network of the Anna Lindh Foundation. Since its foundation, CAM has carried out a multidisciplinary scientific investigation in the area of social sciences and implemented a number of conferences and seminars in the field.

Multiculti is a non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to the development of exchange projects and cultural cooperation between the multiple communities of the Mediterranean. It designs and produces projects of a cultural, social, scientific, educational and civic nature both in Portugal and abroad, namely in conjunction with cultural and scientific institutions. It promotes traveling exhibitions as well as editorial and audiovisual publications and organizes artistic projects mainly for young audiences.

To date, the Portuguese network consists of 35 organizations established all over the country. Most of these institutions work in the areas of education, youth, arts, heritage, international relations and research.

FORMAS is produced by Procur.arte, member of the Portuguese Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, and is supported by the Municipality of Tavira.

Meeting of the Portuguese Network on the 30th May 2009

The Portuguese Network gathered the 30th of May at the main office of the CAM, in Mértola, Alentejo. 18 participants from the network attended the meeting with a representation of 11 organizations from the network.
