The objective of the project is to provide a framework for the evaluation of Mediterranean costal urban areas by delivering a handbook. The intention is to find out the most suitable model for definition of homogenous zones as main instrument for governing of coastal urban areas and put it in a common framework. The zoning procedure includes all relevant factors considering values of the urban environment especially historical and cultural heritage.
