Efficiency in Training of Tolerance
National Development Institute is determined to develop a long term partnership on the topic of tolerance. Lithuania has historical experiences, for example occupations and violent acceptance of Christianity. These are the potential threads to tolerance, and nowadays we find tolerance as an emerging topic. We find the main problem teachers and other actors involved in education do not understand tolerance as well as they lack training methods.
Our aim is to promote better understanding of educators and teachers on the topic of tolerance.
We invite organizations to join the project with the determination to make changes in their own countries. Our preference is Euro-Mediterranean countries. We would like to involve different education organizations, either formal or nonformal.
National Development Institute can take responsibility for coordinating the project, organizing a workshop in Lithuania, as well as the promotional event.
We expect other partners will form a group of educators / teachers to share their expertise and practice in the field of the project. As well as take responsibility for organizing an event / workshop.
