Mission: Shape a sustainable future by educating and mobilizing key actors towards sustainable development in the RCE Cairo scope area.
Objectives:
o Raising awareness on Education for Sustainable Development
o Integrating aspects of SD in the fields of Social Development; Education; Research and Innovation; Environment, Health and Agriculture
o Spreading ESD in the RCE Cairo scope area, and beyond
o Build innovative platforms to share information and experiences and to promote dialogue among regional/local stakeholders
1. Social Development:
o Raising public awareness on ESD
o Addressing social inequalities through education
o Emphasizing the importance of regional knowledge, traditions and culture for SD
o Improving the situation of the underprivileged groups like street children or disabled through ESD
2. Formal & Non-Formal Education
o Integrating elements of SD in the traditional and existing forms of formal education
o Emphasizing the role of adult education/ training in promoting ESD
o Organizing training courses and seminars on ESD
3. Research & Innovation
o Emphasizing the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship
o Fostering innovation through the integration of existing skills, know-how and research efforts
4. Environment, Health & Agriculture
o Promoting biodynamic agriculture
o Raising awareness and fostering action against environmental abuse
o Promoting sustainable ways of health improvement and disease prevention
