‘Restore Trust, Rebuild Bridges’ is a call for civil society action in favour of dialogue launched by the Anna Lindh Foundation and the UN Alliance of Civilizations.
A demand for opening new perspectives for dialogue and debate has emerged in the societies of many Euro-Mediterranean countries, facing the aftermath of the situation in the Middle East, the stagnation of the peace process, as well as the global economic crises and its impact on intercultural relations in the wider region.
In this context, and inspired by the joint call for action with the UN Alliance, the Anna Lindh Foundation is launching and supporting a series of initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of coexistence and peace in the Euro-Mediterranean region, including a grant scheme for local and regional actions that take place between July 1 and September 21, 2009 (International Day of Peace).
