The Anna Lindh Foundation is launching a series of initiatives and support schemes in the framework of the international call for action ‘Restore Trust, Rebuild Bridges’.

The call for action, which was established back in February by the Anna Lindh Foundation and UN Alliance of Civilisations, is based on a demand for opening new perspectives for dialogue and debate which has emerged in the societies of many Euro-Mediterranean countries in the aftermath of the situation in the Middle East as well as the global economic crisis.

In this context, and inspired by the joint call for action, the Anna Lindh Foundation is supporting civil society action aimed at promoting a culture of coexistence and peace in the Euro-Mediterranean region, including a grant scheme for local and regional actions that take place between 1st July and 21st of September 2009 (the International Day of Peace).
