Presentation of the Anna Lindh Report in Helsinki

On Thursday 14 October 2010 in Helsinki at the premises of Kehys  (The Finnish NGDO Platform to the EU) the Anna Lindh Report was presented during the autumn meeting of the Anna Lindh Foundation National Network in Finland.

The meeting included an update from Ambassador Risto Veltheim about the current situation of the Union for the Mediterranean and more generally about the recent development of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.

Tuomo Melasuo, ALF Advisory Council member, spoke about the advisory committee’s meeting in Rabat and presented the Anna Lindh Report, as one of its authors.

Outi Tomperi gave some updates about the Calls for Proposals and about the Finnish participation in the Sea of Words short story contest.

Professor Gilles Kepel spoke about terrorism and recent development in the Middle East. He is a well known international expert on Islamic radicalism and a Professor of Middle East and Mediterranean Studies in IEP in Paris. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Columbia University in New York and in the London School of Economics.
