In order to reinforce its work for cultural action in Alexandria, and in the spirit of the historic events which have taken place in Egypt and the wider region, the Anna Lindh Foundation is proposing to organise a series of events across the city of Alexandria at the end of October 2011.
The Anna Lindh Foundation is requesting organisations and groups to propose cultural activities which can be organised and supported in the framework of the Anna Lindh ‘Arts for Change’ Initiative, in particular events which can reach out to people such as: workshops, trainings, open debates/discussions, small scale cultural events (exhibitions, music performances, artistic installations).
The Foundation will support up to five local initiatives/activities taking place in Alexandria between the 15th and 30th October 2011. The initiative aims at mobilising and promoting the cultural scene in the city, through the support for local partners, and its results will allow the Foundation to better prepare for the coming edition of the Farah El Bahr Festival in 2012.
The support will include the implementation of workshops, trainings, debates/discussion or small scale cultural events. A financial support will be provided through a call for co-organisation, where the Foundation will financially contribute to the preparation and the implementation of the proposed activities.
The deadline to submit the application form for the Call for Co-organisation is the 1st October 2011.
