The Anna Lindh Foundation has now launched the online voting for the Winner of the IV Edition of the Euro-Med Award for Dialogue between Cultures. This annual award, organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation and Fondazione Mediterraneo, recognises the achievements of individuals and organizations that have been at the forefront of promoting Dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Dialogue for Peace and Coexistence is the theme for the 2009 Edition, which has been identified in the framework of the Foundation's initiative "Restore Trust Rebuild Bridges" launched in the aftermath of the war on Gaza.
Now the 2400 member organizations of the Foundation's National networks have the opportunity to make they voice heard and choose one of the five following Runners-up to become the 2009 ambassador for intercultural dialogue:
• Combatants for Peace
• The Parents Circle Families Forum
• History in Action Project Team
• The Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions
• Israel’s Women Network
All our National Network members in the 43 Euro-Med countries are invited to participate in this electoral process by submitting their vote online. Each member can submit only one vote.
The candidate who gets the majority of votes within a national network will be considered the candidate of this respective network. And, the candidate who is most voted for by the networks will receive the Award.
The deadline for voting is 16 July 09. The Winner will be announced before August 1, 2009.
