24 young people from Poland and Palestine met in Jerusalem on the 3rd of January to start their joint project "Let's Film - zoom through the culture glass", a short-term project granted by the Anna Lindh Foundation in the framework of its Call for Proposal and organised by Together Polska Foundation, a member organization of the Anna Lindh Polish Network.

The project will be implemented over the period of 10 months and will consist in four stages including a study visit to Jerusalem, a youth encounter in Palestine, a youth encounter in Poland and an evaluation meeting and follow-up planning in Poland.

The main objective of the project is to empower the participants, to raise their social competence, to invest in their leadership skills, creativity, as well as active citizenship and intercultural learning. The methodology of the project is to be based on interactivity, video animation and film production.

During their gathering in Jerusalem, young Palestinian and Polish participants brainstormed about ideas and preparation of all the stages for the filming.
The study visit in Jerusalem should result in the production of four documentaries, one animation and a photo exposition capturing everyday life in Jerusalem seen with eyes of young Palestinians and their peers from Poland.

Through this first experience, young Polish people will be able to gain an in-depth understanding of Arabic culture and to discuss the most current issues with their Arab peers while expressing themselves through art. On the other hand, the Palestinian youth will have the opportunity to host young Europeans who are not one-day tourists they are used to meet in Jerusalem, but their friends and peers, with whom they can fruitfully interact on a longer basis.
