Intercultural trends and values in the Euro-Mediterranean Region: the launch of the Anna Lindh Report 2010

On Wednesday, 15 September, 14.30–16.30 at the Crowne Plaza Europa hotel, 107 Rue de la Loi, 1040 Brussels

The European Policy Centre (EPC), in partnership with the Anna Lindh Foundation and the King Baudouin Foundation, are organising a Policy Dialogue on Intercultural Trends and Values in the Euro-Mediterranean Region, on Wednesday 15 September 2010.

Teh Anna Lindh Foundation - an institution shared by the 43 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean and with a Region-wide network of over 3000 civil society organisations – has coordinated the Report on Intercultural Trends in the Euro-Mediterranean Region. The Report’s findings point to areas of convergence among the societies of the Region, as well as divergences in human and cultural relations that need to be addressed if the goal of a shared future for the Euro-Mediterranean is to be realised.

The event will open with speeches from Štefan Füle, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, André Azoulay, President of the Anna Lindh Foundation and Fatima Elzahraa Etman, Egyptian Ambassador in Brussels.

A distinguished panel of experts, chaired by Shada Islam, EPC Senior Programme Executive, will present and debate the main findings of the Report.
