The Anna Lindh civil society Network in France will hold its meeting today in Marseille and for two days.
The meeting which is organised by Association pour le Développement Culturel Européen et International (ADCEI), French Head of Network, will gather around 80 member organisations of the Anna Lindh Foundation, to present an overview on the involvement of the French civil society in the Anna Lindh Foundation’s activities in 2009, with a special focus on the “Restore Trust, Rebuild Bridges” initiative, the Euromed Award for Dialogue, the Anna Lindh Call for Proposals, as well as the membership of new organisations in the French Network.
The meeting will also include discussions on the results of the Anna Lindh Forum, which took place in Barcelona at the beginning of March, and the benefits of such an important event to the Network, as well as presentation of common projects that the French Network has developed during the Forum with the Tunisian and the Moroccan Network.
Furthermore, the members will debate on ‘The role of the main actors of intercultural dialogue in the Euro Mediterranean region; challenges, activities, and prospects’, with interventions by representatives of the Anna Lindh Foundation, the Union for the Mediterranean and the European Capital for Culture.
The meeting will conclude with a discussion on the relations between the French National Network and the territorial entities based on the priorities of the Anna Lindh Foundation’s work plan for 2010 – 2011.
