From the 5th to the 6th of May, the Monaco Méditerranée Foundation, Head of the Anna Lindh National Network in Monaco, a series of events on the role of the Euromed Youth in promoting Dialogue.
This gathering which will bring together the young Mediterranean leaders, committed members of civil society and institutional sphere of some port cities in the Mediterranean area will accompany an exhibition of photographic and journalistic testimonies from young people from eight Mediterranean cities – Alexandria, Athens, Barcelona, Beirut, Istanbul, Marseille, Naples, Tangier, to be presented from the 5th to the 22th May 2011 at the Auditorium Rainier (Monaco).
A dinner-debate on the theme “The Arab Spring and the future of the Euro-Mediterranean dialogue.” will take place on the 5th of May with the participation of M. Serge Telle, Ambassador in charge of the Union for the Mediterranean and Mr. Andreu Claret, Executive Director of the Anna Lindh Foundation. The dinner debate will take place at the Salon Excelsior Hotel Hermitage.
On the 6th of May, a roundtable on the theme "Being young in the Mediterranean" will be moderated by Bernard El Ghoul, Director of the Middle East campus of Sciences Po Paris and Menton, in France.
MedPeople takes place in the context of the leading mission of the network in the Principality of Monaco for Monaco Mediterranean Foundation, which, with the support of the Caisse des Dépôts and the Monegasque Government intend to create a center of excellence and reflection around the theme of the Union for the Mediterranean in Monaco. This is a forum for dialogue on the role of young generations regarding the socio-economic and cultural interest of the Euro-Mediterranean. A forum which aims to force proposals and actions to be undertaken within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean dynamics.
