Advisor of HM King Mohammed VI, and Chairman of Anna Lindh Foundation, André Azoulay, was nominated, on Monday 11th of April in Palermo (Italy) for the International Acharif Al Idrissi Prize.
The Prize, awarded by the Italian region of Sicilia, celebrates renowned figures from the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean for their contributions to promote euro-Mediterranean dialogue and cooperation.
The Prize, which bears the name of a Moroccan geographer who led an expedition in 1138 to Palermo, will be awarded on May 14 in Sicilia’s capital.
Also nominated for the Prize, CEO of Orascom Telecom Holding and Weather Investments Naguib Onsi Sawiris, Chairwoman of the Tunisian Women Democrats Association, Sana Ben Achour, and President of the Alpes-Cotes d’Azur region Michel Vauzelle.
