Peace Prize 2010: President Azoulay is honoured in Naples

The President of the Anna Lindh Foundation, André Azoulay, has received the prestigious ‘Prize for Peace 2010’ along with Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt.  At the prize ceremony in Naples, which was hosted by the ‘Fondazione Mediterraneo’, President Azoulay stressed in his speech the ‘collective will of Euro-Mediterranean civil societies for a shared space based on values of freedom and justice’, while Chancellor Merkel and Minister Bildt both underlined in their acceptance declarations the ‘central role of the Anna Lindh Foundation’ in building a Union for the Mediterranean.
