Following the success of last year’s ‘Farah El-Bahr’ Cultural Festival, which brought together over 5000 people, organisers have announced that the latest edition will take place from the 4th to 5th November at the historic Qaitbey Citadel in Alexandria. The 2010 Festival will include international artists from the two shores of the Mediterranean, including Spain, Germany and Egypt, a major cultural parade, and a programme of intercultural workshops targeting children and young people. In the lead-up to the big weekend, which is an initiative of the Anna Lindh Foundation, local NGOs and social groups will be involved in debates on the theme of ‘Citizens of Diversity’.
