As part of the Anna Lindh Foundation Network Strategy (2010 – 2011), the Foundation launched in October 2009 two simultaneous online surveys: one targeting the Heads of Network (HoN) and the other targeting the Network members across the 43 Euro-Med countries. The survey for the Network members was launched on 20 October and the deadline on 15 November. The survey was launched on the website of the Anna Lindh Foundation in three languages (EN/FR/AR). There were many common questions between the HoN survey and the members survey.
As outlined in the introduction to the survey, the Foundation is conducting this survey to get an overview of the status and concerns of the Network Coordinators and members alike. It will also help the Headquarters to improve the coordination with the Heads of Network as well as members. Finally, it is a very useful resource information for the 8th HoN Meeting in Gothenburg (Nov. 09) and the Anna Lindh Forum in Barcelona (March 2010).
The survey is composed of 28 questions in total. All of the questions are mandatory except for question (28) about general recommendations to the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Heads of Network regarding services offered to the members in the future. Approximately 45 % made an entry to this question. This data is available in a separate sheet with survey analysis per country.
The survey is divided into 5 main parts:
a) General Information (8 questions)
b) Coordination and Mobilization of the Networks (7 questions)
c) Anna Lindh Foundation Programmes (6 questions)
d) Network Performance and Future Developments (5 questions)
e) Anna Lindh Forum (2 general questions)
After 25 days, 533 Network members from all 43 Euro-Med countries filled in the online survey. Below two figures which show the top 5 participation globally and per Network. Some members did not complete the survey because they are recent members and are not familiar with the work of the Foundation.
