Letter of Condolence (26/07/2011)
Anna Lindh Network Association mourns the victims of the terrorists attacks that took place in Norway, and on this occasion Anna Lindh and all representatives in West Bank, Gaza strip and East Jerusalem would like to express their heartily support and compassion as Palestinians to the people of Norway, the government, and families of victims.
Norway is well known for promoting democratic values, freedom of speech. Such historical background will not be destroyed by these acts that are against all humanitarian values.
Cold blooded terrorism killed tens of innocent people. The Palestinians were shocked by this dire calamity, as they suffer the same from fanatic settler groups; therefore, they share the pains of Norwegian people.
We are confident that the people of Norway and their great leaders will be able to go beyond this catastrophe and make their democratic system live long, for the interest of both Norway and the whole world.
Dr. Fathi Darwish - Head of Palestinian Network

1) In 2nd Aug. 2011, Helga Pedersen (Leader of Labour Party Parliamentary Group - Norway) sent to us:
We are very grateful for the wave of sympathy and support that has reached us from all over the world after the brutal attacks in Oslo and on Utoya. It has warmed our hearts in a dark hour for the whole country.
The most important task now is to help the victims, their families and everyone else who has been affected. As Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg declared, ''Evil can kill individuals, but it can never defeat a whole people''.
We will respond by strengthening our democracy and regaining our sense of security.
Yours sincerely,
Helga Pedersen
Leader of Labour Party Parliamentary Group
