Tawasul is a non-profit, non governmental organisation which was founded in 2002 by a group of grass-root Palestinian peace and development activists. The aim of Tawasul is to create and develop non-violent communication between all levels of society, based on our conception of society and through a process starting at the individual level and then reaching all layers of the complex network in which every individual lives and thrives.
The Palestinian Network has a Deputy Network Coordinator - General Union of Cultural Centres - who assists in the coordination of the Network in Gaza Strip in close cooperation with the Head of Network in Ramallah. The GUCC is a non-partisan organization that offers a unique creative and performing forum for exploring issues of culture identity as well as social and political change. The GUCC manages a wide network of several Cultural Centers and Organizations in Gaza Strip.
The Foundation provides logistical and operational support to the National Network in Palestine through the Network Strategic Development Scheme (NSDS). For more information, please refer to the document “NSDS Step 4” under Resources column on the right. This document highlights the main responsibilities and services to be provided by the Network Coordinator for the members until 31 August 2011.
