King Baudouin Foundation

The nominated Head of National Network in Belgium is the King Baudouin Foundation based in Brussels.

The Foundation focuses on work within the field of cultural diversity and social justice and has initiated work on the promotion of coexistence between different cultures within Belgium and Europe.

By working together with a range of different organisations, KBF aims to harmonise our own mission as effectively as possible with the efforts made by others. The Foundation supports projects and citizens who are committed to create a better society

Currently the Belgian National network include 101 members, working in the fields of youth, education, international relations, public services, human rights, democracy and gender issues.

National Network Debate on the Anna Lindh Report findings

The King Baudouin Foundation – Head of the Anna Lindh Network in Belgium – organised on the 22nd September a presentation and debate on the Anna Lindh Report on Intercultural Trends.

As the keynote speaker,  the Foundation’s President, André Azoulay, focused attention on the misperceptions between people across the Region related to values and the centrality of religion. Mr Azoulay also promoted the Report in front of the EU General Directors in charge of External Cultural Relations gathered in the frame of the Belgian Presidency of the EU who welcomed its findings as a new and significant source for policy action.
