Anna Lindh Foundation Call for Proposals 2009 Short term projects – Long term programmes

The Anna Lindh Foundation finalized the evaluation process of the applications received in response to the short term projects call for proposals launched under publication reference ALF/CFP/2009/ST1. Letters to the leaders of the provisionally selected projects were sent out as well as letters of those on reserve list. For the rejection letters, the ALF will start sending them out on Thursday, 18 June 2009 (the weekend in Egypt is: Friday and Saturday). The indicative date for signing the grant contract is 25 June 2009 Regarding the evaluation process of the applications received in response to the long term programmes call for proposals launched under publication reference: ALF/CFP/2009/LTP, the evaluation process has started and the indicative date for finalisation is Monday, 20th July 2009.

Size of the grants:

  • Minimum amount: EUR 10,000
  • Maximum amount: EUR 20,000
This call for projects proposals will be used as an instrument to support the implementation of concrete actions of the Euro-Mediterranean civil society.

The aim of the Foundation’s Calls for projects proposals is to bring people together and promote respect for diversity, and better understanding and mutual recognition through inter-cultural dialogue.

The Anna Lindh Foundation will award projects focusing on the Strategic Fields of Action identified by the Foundation in its triennial programme, which are:
  • Ideas and Ideologies
  • Education
  • Cultural Production
  • Media
  • Religion, Spirituality and Values
  • Cities and Diversity
Applications addressing one or more of the following Overall Objectives are of interest to the Anna Lindh Foundation:

Improving Perceptions: Improvement of mutual perceptions between cultures and communities of the region through intellectual forums, educational programmes, news and information, cultural productions, religious circles, civic initiatives, etc.

Enhancing Mobility: Promotion of mobility of cultural operators and artists, and civil society actors and youngsters.

Rewarding Coexistence: Development of actions which constitute models for building coexistence in difficult contexts, where diverse cultural, ethnical or religious communities face each other.
