The Anastasios G. Leventis Foundation was established in May 1979. From the beginning, the aim of the Foundation was to support educational, cultural, artistic and philanthropic causes in Cyprus, Greece and elsewhere.
The Foundation's Publications Programme is largely related to the cultural heritage, the archaeology and history of Cyprus. It publishes under its own imprint and also makes supporting grants to other publishers and academic institutions.
Grants:
The Foundation’s educational grants scheme is limited to post-graduate studies or research. Applications by secondary-school leavers or undergraduates already enrolled who have not yet obtained their first University degree will not be considered.
Applications are examined by the Foundation during its annual review of grants at the end June/beginning July when awards are decided for the academic year starting in September/October.
The deadline for the submission of applications is the 15th June.

It provides financial support for archaeological excavations and visits of academicians and study trips of university students in Cyprus. It further supports university and other public libraries in Greece.
