Les Noubas d’Ici are popular parties, wich take place 1 Saturday a month, from Sept to Dec 10, at la Bellevilloise (Paris). They have been rewarded The European Year of Intercultural Dialogue (2008). 2010 is the 2d, enhanced edition. The party is made of an arab-andalusian fusion concert, with lots of guests coming from different Mediterranean areas and different kinds of artistic expressions (photo, drawing, video..). To make sure most people will be able to come, the entry is free. For the last Nouba, neighborhood disavantaged kids who are given free singing and photo lessons by the artists of the project will come on stage with them to present their music and photo work. The Noubas aim at increasing social cohesion and people's awareness to the benefits of intercultural exchanges.
