"Intergenerational Dialogue"

The Sustainable Democracy Center is launching a series of Intergenerational Dialogues within its program – Peace beyond Fear that was launched in 2008 together with youth from all over the Lebanese territories, between 13 and 17 years of age and members of the Citizenship and Peace Youth Clubs.

The objective of the events is to start a dialogue between the youth and their parents and adults in their communities in order to review Lebanon’s past conflicts and understand more about their vision of a country that witnessed many conflicts among its own citizens and prevented the establishment of a culture free of violence as a foundation for civil peace.

Each Club will conduct two-half interactive days:

  • The first event will launch the dialogue and will be done with the cooperation of the Sustainable Democracy Center using the educational materials that were produced during the project.
  • The second event will be designed and implemented by the youth themselves as part of the peace building initiatives that they are conducting in their communities.
