Upon the invitation of Dr Uwe Petry, Head of Network and Ms Bettina Schmidt, in charge of the organisation of this decentralized meeting, German members of the Anna Lindh national network as well as other organizations which had shown an interest in the work and objectives of the Foundation as well as in the specific topic of the coming campaign ‘1001 actions for dialogue’, were invited to attend the 7th network members meeting of the German network.
The network meeting gathered around 25 individuals representing organisations from various cities of Germany, mostly members but also non-members/potential new members willing to get more information about the Anna Lindh Foundation and the campaign.

The meeting started with a general tank you to all attendance for talking the time to gather and asking everyone to briefly present his/her past and current projects in the frame of the Foundation network and in intercultural dialogue.
This gave the chance for new comers to better know the members and for the others to be updated on project they could start cooperate on.
Then, the 1001 actions for dialogue campaign was presented more in details to the members by a representative of the ALF headquarters. The objectives was to gather ideas and questions from the members regarding the Campaign in its various phases, the micro-grants, the Dialogue Night, the media coverage, as well as to explore the different follow-ups to projects that could be used as highlights during the 2008 campaign.
The network meeting was followed by a meeting with the German Media centre ‘Deutsche Welle’ in order to present them the Foundation and the campaign and to explore possibilities of media-covering and linking events developed in the frame of the 2008 Euro-Mediterranean year for Intercultural Dialogue.
