Report - Czech Network Meeting 10/10/2009

PRAGUE, INSTITUE OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Main point of the meeting:

• welcome ceremony of new member PERCEPTION, which became a member at the beginning of this summer. Organization works in the field of information exchange about differences in cultures and living standards. That helps to minimize the prejudice, racism and xenophobia

• presentation of project of World March, which was offered to us for participation and backing. The idea of March for peace and nonviolence trough the way of getting the cultures together is the focal idea of whole ALF and we absolutely agree with it. We as a HoN agreed to back this project and we will welcome any other organization to join us. All necessary information are to be found on www.worldmarch.com.

• the main point of the meeting was discussion above the ongoing preparations for Common operations – Months of Arab culture. The co organizers are: Institute of International Relations, Czech-Arab Society Prague and Brno, Swallow club and Tanween. The representatives of all of these co organizers participated so the discussion was very fruitful – mainly we set up the dates and the plan for next steps and inter-coordination between organizers. The first action was held on 9th September 2009 – the invitation card enclosed. The end of Common operations will be in Prague during December in the shape of round table over the theme of development aid of the Czech Republic to Iraq. The focal idea of this operation is to bring our members close together, that is why all the members are invited and welcomed on all of the activities during these months.

• it was agreed that all of the members will interconnect their web pages. The first step is the collection of logos of all members’ organization in our HoN. These logos were distributed through our Institute to all of the members with recommendation for attaching them to web page and the info paragraph about our colleagues.
