The 19th of June 2010 will see ‘Europe Street Day’, running from 18.00 in the evening. ‘Europe Street’ is a socio-cultural event organized by the EU member states and the European Union delegation in cooperation with CEEBA and its member bilateral EU Egypt chambers, and the Anna Lindh Foundation, with the overarching aim of building bridges across the Mediterranean and celebrating and communicating the European Union’s gastronomy, culture, art, folklore, as well as information and opportunities. The event is by invitation, and will bring together members of the civil society, the diplomatic community, media, and representatives of tourism and cultural institutes, and it will act as a type of ‘European Display’ where the 27 EU member countries shall share aspects of their culture.
