The objective of Dance Refl-action is the establishment of a forum/platform for reflection and action on contemporary dance pedagogy in the Euro-Mediterranean region, with special focus on the Arab countries.

The programme activities include 1) the compilation of available literature on contemporary dance in the Arab world as well as relevant literature produced in Europe to make it available online in Arabic and English, 2) the sponsorship of four dancers/dance researchers from the Arab world and Europe to conduct research on contemporary dance education in Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt making use of a comparative approach in relation to European countries such as France, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy whose contemporary dance methods and pedagogy influence the Arab countries covered and 3) the support and organisation of a dance training programme in Jordan, Morocco, and Egypt to create a reflexive space of dialogue.
