"Harira" is a play on immigration, on the feeling of being at home in two different cultures while ‘members’ of both cultures think you do not belong to their own, on friendship between an immigrant and an autochthon, on how to deal with issues (like homosexuality) which are ‘common’ in one culture and not to be spoken of in the other. Harira was be performed in streets and squares in those parts of Amsterdam and Rotterdam that are known for their Moroccan migrant population.
