The ‘Akko project’, which is managed by the cultural organization Theatre Majaz, is a initiative based on the approach of promoting cultural diversity through art and collective creation. Through the initiative, Israeli, Palestinian, French-Lebanese, French-Iranian, Spanish and English comedians have been involved in organizing theatre workshops for local young people from the different communities and jointly producing two theatre plays during an in-residence. Presented in different languages, including Arabic and Hebrew, the plays deal with current and historic issues related to the Israeli-Arab conflict.
