For the very first time, the Anna Lindh Foundation organised a communication seminar with project leaders preparing to launch long-term intercultural dialogue initiatives across the Mediterranean region. One part of the seminar was dedicated to communication planning for the Anna Lindh Forum 2010.
The Seminar is organized in collaboration with the University of Malta and the European Commission and aims at increasing awareness of the Anna Lindh Foundation’s goals and strategic approach, placing communication at the start and the heart of programming processes related to planned intercultural projects, developing individual communication plans and strategies with the aim of increasing the reach of activities, creating synergies and collaborations between projects and planned events taking place in the region as well as preparing for the Anna Lindh Forum 2010 and in particular a communication dimension with civil society.
The seminar also represents an opportunity for project representatives to meet with staff of the Anna Lindh Foundation headquarters and to exchange ideas and strategies on the effective implementation of initiatives in the regional framework.
The training seminar will be attended by 20 participants representing civil society from all over the Euro-Mediterranean region to discuss the key messages to be communicated in the framework of their projects, the target audiences at the local, national and regional level, the types of activities which could be prepared to support the objectives and the tools which will be required to communicate effectively.
