Foundation presents its new manual on "Religious Diversity" during the International Conference on Dialogue among Civilizations and Cultural Diversity in Tunisia

President of the Anna Lindh Foundation, Andre Azoulay, will give an opening speech on 2nd of June during the inauguration ceremony of the International Conference on Dialogue among Civilizations and Cultural Diversity in Tunisia, which is taking place under the patronage of the Tunisian President Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali in the city of Kairouan.

The two days conference is organized by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) and will be attended by a number of leading intellectuals, journalists, academics as well as representatives of international and civil society organizations.

The event is articulated around three main topics: namely, review of the situation of the dialogue of civilizations and cultural diversity; preconditions and channels of dialogue; as well as international cooperation and sound mechanisms for a sustained dialogue favouring respect for cultural diversity.

During the conference, the Anna Lindh Foundation will present its new teaching manual on "How to cope with diversity at school: teaching and learning about religious diversity" and the importance of such education resource in promoting, among students, a better understanding of religious diversity and acceptance of the Other.

In addition, the Foundation will contribute in the Kairouan Declaration on how to foster dialogue among civilizations and cultures which will be adopted at the end of the conference.
