First International Video Art and multimedia festival of Ramallah

The A.M. Qattan Foundation (Ramallah) and Les Instants Vidéo Numériques et poétiques (Marseille), members of the Anna Lindh Foundation's Network, announce the First International Video Art and multimedia festival of Ramallah. The Festival will take place in Ramallah, Jerusalem and Gaza from 19 to 23 May 2009.

This event is organized in partnership with the French Cultural Centers of Ramallah and Gaza, Goethe Institut, Birzeit Virtual Gallery, Art Academy, Al Mahatta Gallery, Khalil Sakakini Center (Ramallah), Al Hoash Art court, Al Mamal Foundation for Contemporary Art (Jerusalem), with the support of CulturesFrance, the Consulat de France in Jerusalem and the Conseil Régional PACA.

The Festival will include the following activities: International screenings (Palestine, Libanon, Syria, Iran, Egypte, Tunisia, Algeria, Emirates, Chine, Corea, Japan, Kosovo, Serbia, Brasil, USA, Canada, France, Irland, Germany, Great Britain…)

Exhibitions of video installations by Bill Viola (USA), Sharif Waked (Palestine), Raeda Saadeh (Palestine), Jumana Abboud (Palestine), Mohamad Harb (Palestine), Khalil Rabah (Palestine), Shadi Habib Allah (Palestine), Taysir Batniji (Palestine/France),Kacha Legrand (France), Hakeem B (Algérie/France), Mariana Vassileva (Bulgarie/Allemagne), Richard Skryzak (France), Dominique Angel (France)…
