ZaLab TV

ZaLab TV is a network of participatory video workshops. It produces short participatory documentaries and feature films on daily life in different communities from the Northern and Southern Mediterranean. All ZaLab TV productions are realized through video workshops led by young international crews and addressed to youth who can otherwise hardly have free access to digital media.

IV Euro-Mediterranean University Forum

From 11 to 12 June 2007, the Anna Lindh Foundation, in partnership with the University of Alexandria and the Euro-Med Permanent University Forum (EPUF), co-organised the IV Euro-Mediterranean University Forum.

Food and intercultural exchange in the migration context

The project “Food and intercultural exchange in the migration context” was launched thanks to financial support from the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures.

It groups together a partnership made up of four organisations who manage Professional Training Centres in the catering sector.

Crisis management in the Euromed region – toward a space of peoples that constitute a society

In May 2006, in Tangiers, 75 students of the CADMOS master course in Diplomacy and Strategic Negotiation, coming from 27 different countries, participated in a simulation of Euro-Mediterranean Ministerial Conference negotiation.

Being 20 years old in the Mediterranean

Eleven Mediterranean journalists will meet in Barcelona to prepare a series of investigative reports on the lives of young women in 9 Mediterrean countries (Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Turkey, Italy, France and Spain) to be jointly published in four Mediterranean newspapers.

Babel Med Music

In 2006 and 2007, the Foundation was a co-organising partner of the Babel Med Music Festival held in Marseilles, France. It was present in the exhibition area and bestowed a special Anna Lindh Foundation award to two artists or bands from the Euro-Mediterranean region whose music promotes dialogue between cultures.

The Mediterranean Brain Drain

This research project aimed to encourage cooperation and the exchange of ideas between young researchers in the highly important issue of migration of expertise (“brain drain”). It seeks to research the magnitude of the phenomenon, evaluate the consequences and assess the effectiveness of policy responses.

IDEAmed2006: Identity and Education Across the Mediterranean: Curriculum, Pedagogy Practice

The project gathered Euro-Mediterranean secondary high school teachers from Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Israel, France, Italy and Spain to discuss the concept of identity, its relevance to their everyday pedagogy and practice and the capacity of teachers to increase respect for diversity and to promote the vision and implementation of more inclusive classrooms and
