The Anna Lindh Swedish Network, headed by the National Museums of World Culture and represented by Katarina Stigwall, has been one of the most active during the second half of 2009. With the start of the Swedish Presidency for the EU, the Head of the Swedish network has contributed in September in the first preparatory meeting of the Forum, “The EuroMed Media Forum”, followed by the Heads of Networks meeting held in Gothenburg in November, and which gave the final outlines of the Forum.
“The upcoming Anna Lindh Forum represents a real opportunity for the Swedish network. The overall theme of the Forum is not only appealing to the member organisations, but also the opportunity to meet colleagues from other countries who are active in the same field and present our own projects and activities. The Anna Lindh Forum will surely have great impact on the participants, generating new contacts and an exchange of ideas and inspiration. Our challenge is to spread the momentum in our national networks, and to share the experiences with even broader circles. That way the Forum and its topics will affect a larger community of active NGOs, all over the EuroMed Region”.
