Welcome to the Turkish National Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation

About us:

The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, the coordinator of the Turkish network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1973 by fourteen businessmen. The IFCA aims at creating an international medium to promote and feature not only the cultural heritages of Turkish society, but also those of other societies. Its mission is to lead the peoples of distinct cultural backgrounds towards a better understanding and contribute to world peace by creating a sense of global awareness through the arts. The IFCA organizes the International Istanbul Film Festival, the International Istanbul Music Festival and the International Istanbul Jazz Festival every year. The International Istanbul Biennial and the International Istanbul Theater Festival are held biennially, alternating every other year.

To date, the Turkish network consists of 42 organizations. Most of these institutions work in the areas of youth, arts, human rights, gender issues and media.
The Anna Lindh Foundation has funded 14 projects involving Turkish members.
