About this book
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights the German United Nations Association together with the German Commission for UNESCO decided to publish a manual on how the existing UN human rights mechanisms and procedures function and how they can be used more effectively by individuals/victims of human rights violations as well as by NGOs in the field of human rights.
So far, this Manual has already appeared – with the assistance of UNESCO – in ten languages (including Arabic), among others, in English, French, German and Russian. Further translations and country adaptations are under preparation.
