Identifying Pillars of the programme
- Identified Host Institution in each country which is hosting, coordinating, and facilitating implementation of activities of the programme.
- Identified 5 motivated Core groups of stakeholders from all related sectors (around 200 members)
- Share and Exchange mutual experiences in children literature
Workshops and Capacity development
- Publishers workshop on how to develop publishing and distribution:
20 Publishers and distributors from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Sweden
- Workshops on children Literature visions and attitudes:
900 participants developed 5 concept papers on children literature and criteria for evaluating book

- Regional Workshop:
Involving19 representatives from the host institutions and core groups sharing experiences of the Nation Core Groups and planning effectively with a regional approach

Dealing with problem analysis, setting of priorities according to a Logical Framework

At the centre: The Book
- 100 Book Exhibition and Evaluation of books
100 books from 12 different countries Launching the programme in each of the five countries in a visible manner
Exhibition circulated in 16 Locations and 2500+ children participated in activities.
1500 evaluations of the 100 books were produced by 99 evaluators
Assessment, Seminars, Conference
- Assessment AND Seminar
Assessment reflecting the situation of Children literature and reading in each of the five countries
173 stakeholders participated in 5 seminars discussing the outcomes of the assessment

National Conferences: 290 stakeholders participated in 4 National conferences for the discussion of plans developing children literature
WALTIC Conference in Sweden:5 Arab women writers participated to an International forum for exchange of experience among writers, literary translators and researchers engaged in and committed to the strengthening of democracy and human rights.
