In Ireland the Head of the National Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation is the Center for International Studies at the Dublin City University. The CIS, established in 2001, seeks to co-ordinate and promote research in international studies with an interdisciplinary approach. By attracting high quality post-graduate and post-doctoral researchers, diplomats and other practitioners, the CIS guarantees a valuable contribution to the academic life of the University. The Centre carries out research projects and consultancy funded from Irish government departments, the EU, multilateral agencies and NGOs and publishes papers on issues of international importance as well as aspects of Ireland’s role in the world.
The Irish network consists of 19 organizations. Most of these institutions work in the areas of education, youth, arts and research.
