The Ministry of Education and Culture oversees the pedagogical, professional and educational efforts in  the public education of Hungary. Due to its "double" role, The Ministry at the same time promotes Hungarian artistic production and works of art abroad - as well as it presents pieces of world art in Hungary. For this reason it was nominated Head of Network of the Hungarian Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation. It is further responsible for the public administration tasks relating to the valuable assets safeguarded in public collections. It coordinates the efforts of professional contributors to cultural and touristic attraction projects. The Ministry of Education and Culture  ensures Hungary’s participation in bilateral and multilateral international relations in the fields of education and culture.
To date, the Hungarian network consists of 30 organizations. Most of these institutions work in the areas of education, youth, arts, heritage, international relations, human rights, culture and research.
