to the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation
for the Dialogue between Cultures (ALF)
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Anna Lindh Foundation was created by the governments of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, the far-reaching political agreement established in 1995 between the European Union and its ten Southern Mediterranean partners in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Syria and Turkey.
The Anna Lindh Foundation, based in Alexandria, Egypt, has a legal personality as an international organization registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Anna Lindh Foundation is a unique organization acting as a network of civil society organizations working for dialogue in the region. Its mandate is to bring people and organizations from both shores of the Mediterranean closer together through sustained dialogue and help to bridge the gap between them.
The Foundation shall promote the dialogue between cultures and contribute to the visibility of the Barcelona Process through intellectual, cultural and civil society exchanges.
Anna Lindh Foundation seeks for recruitment as of 1 November 2008 the following:
(A) One Programme Coordinator with experience in two or more of the following fields: Education, Culture, Intercultural Dialogue, Sciences, Communication, Human Rights, Gender issues and Youth;
(B) Two Programme Administrators: one of them to work on operational monitoring of grant contracts and the other one shall work in two or more of the following fields: Networking, Culture, Sciences and Communication;
(C) One Administration and Finance Assistant;
(D) One Online Media Developer;
(E) Two International Assistants: one of them to work on operational monitoring of grant contracts and the other shall work in two or more of the following fields: Education, Culture, Intercultural Dialogue, Sciences, Communication, Human Rights, Gender issues and Youth;
(F) Two Local Assistants with experience in two or more of the following fields: Education, Culture, Intercultural Dialogue, Sciences, Communication, Human Rights, Gender issues and Youth;
(G) Two Secretaries.
ELIGIBILITY OF APPLICANTS
In order to be eligible for application, applicant(s) must have one of the of the Euro-Mediterranean nationality, (from the 43 European Union countries or from Mediterranean: Albania; Algeria; Austria; Belgium; Bosnia and Herzegovina; Bulgaria; Croatia; Cyprus; Czech Republic; Denmark; Egypt; Estonia; Finland; France; Germany; Greece; Hungary; Ireland; Israel; Italy; Jordan; Latvia; Lebanon; Lithuania; Luxemburg; Malta; Mauritania; Monaco; Montenegro; Morocco; Palestine; Poland; Portugal; Romania; Slovakia; Slovenia; Spain; Sweden; Syria; The Netherlands; Tunisia; Turkey; United Kingdom).
